Looking back on successful aquaponics farming

Sometimes others remind you of successes you booked in the past. Recently, The Dutch ministry of  Agriculture, Nature and Food Security posted an article about a succesfull aquaponics farm in Kenya that TGS Business esthablished in collaboration of Wageningen University and Aqua4All.

This farm applies a productive and at the same time resource-efficient food production model. By decoupling production from soil-based agriculture and by implementing efficient recycling loops, this system reduces the required inputs for organic vegetables and protein.

By growing food aquaponically within a city, plant density is increased and transport distances are decreased, resulting in more efficient farming and fresher produce.
