Business development – India
We are looking for a student who wants to execute a feasibility study on starting a social-entreprise in India. The study will identify whether investing/starting an (agricultural) company in India will be a feasible operation. The goal of the study is to provide the decision makers with an overview of suitable business opportunities in the region of Chintapalli and a specific plan for starting a business that can help sustain the children’s home. The core idea is that the business will be started to support and incorporate social projects.
1. Identifying business opportunities with an initial feasibility assesment
2. A detailed assessment of the economic, financial, technical, managerial, institutional, environmental and socio-cultural feasibility of developing the most promising business ideas.
2. A concept Business plan based on the findings. This business plan will include an action plan on how to proceed.
Required knowledge and skills
Basic knowledge on business administration and market research is required. Knowledge on agriculture and technical projects is an advantage.The study includes a basic training on market research and business plan development at the office of TGS in Wageningen. Location and duration
The internship will take place in Andhra Pradesh, India and will last about 4 months, with some preparations and training at our office in Wageningen.
